Victory City AZ is a movement of restoration, purpose activation, and elevated living—and the Teaching Pastor (initial volunteer) plays a vital role in grounding that movement in the Word of God. This role is for a gifted communicator and spiritual mentor who carries a passion for biblical truth, discipleship, and the formation of new believers.
The Teaching Pastor will lead Bible studies, New Members classes, and New Believers classes with clarity, compassion, and spiritual authority—ensuring that every person who walks through our doors is rooted, equipped, and empowered to grow in Christ.
This isn’t just teaching—it’s spiritual formation.
What You’ll Do:
- Develop and lead weekly Bible studies that reflect sound doctrine and Spirit-led revelation
- Teach and facilitate New Members classes that introduce Victory City AZ’s mission, culture, and values
- Lead New Believers classes that establish foundational truths and spiritual disciplines
- Create curriculum and teaching materials that are engaging, accessible, and transformative
- Partner with pastoral and ministry teams to support discipleship pathways and spiritual growth
- Provide mentorship and pastoral care to those navigating early stages of faith
- Equip volunteers and leaders to teach and disciple with excellence
- Ensure all teaching environments reflect theological integrity, cultural relevance, and spiritual depth
To serve as Teaching Pastor (initial volunteer), candidates should demonstrate:
- Ordination and ministerial credentials recognized by a reputable Christian organization
- Proven experience in teaching, preaching, and discipleship ministry
- Strong theological foundation and ability to communicate biblical truths with clarity
- Passion for spiritual formation, mentoring, and equipping the Body of Christ
- Excellent communication, organization, and relational skills
- Ability to create curriculum and lead classes across diverse spiritual backgrounds
- Alignment with Victory City AZ’s prophetic culture, values, and mission
- Sensitivity to the Holy Spirit and commitment to ongoing spiritual growth
Additional Requirements:
- Background Check
- Must be a member of Victory City AZ or become a new member
- Must be available for Sunday services, weeknights, after services classes, and events
- Must commit to collaborative leadership and team unity
- 3 years Pastoral Leadership (min.)
- 3 yrs. Teaching (church or ministry)
- Ordination Credentials AG
- Master's Degree preferred
