At Victory City AZ, we believe in activating the next generation to lead with excellence, joy, and spiritual authority. The Student Volunteer/Intern role is designed for high school students who are ready to grow in responsibility, discover their gifts, and serve the church in meaningful ways.
This is more than volunteering—it’s Kingdom training. Student interns will assist with church setup, support Ignite Children’s Ministry, and help create welcoming, Spirit-filled environments for families and guests.
What You’ll Do:
- Assist with church setup and teardown for Sunday services and special events (as needed, where needed)
- Support Ignite Children’s Ministry by helping with check-in, classroom prep, and transitions
- Serve as a student aide in Kids Church—engaging children, assisting leaders, and modeling joy
- Help with special events, family outreach, and seasonal programming
- Learn the rhythms of ministry operations and team collaboration
- Reflect the heart, energy, and excellence of Victory City AZ in every task
- Grow in leadership, responsibility, and spiritual maturity through hands-on service
To thrive in this role, students should:
- Be aged 14–18 and have a teachable, respectful attitude
- Demonstrate reliability, enthusiasm, and willingness to serve
- Enjoy working with children and supporting ministry environments
- Be available for Sunday services, occasional midweek prep, and special events
- Align with Victory City AZ’s mission, culture, and spiritual values
- Be open to mentorship, feedback, and personal growth
NOTE: If your school participates in community service hours, we can provide sign-off and acknowledgment, if needed.
Victory City AZ welcomes student volunteers ages 14–18 in accordance with federal and state guidelines. To ensure a safe and empowering experience, the following requirements apply:
- Parental Consent: All student volunteers under 18 must submit a signed parental/guardian consent form (apply and a form will be provided to you onsite for parental signature).
- Background Screening: Students may be subject to basic screening and must complete child safety training if serving in children’s ministry
- Volunteer Limits: Students will serve within age-appropriate timeframes, respecting school schedules and legal volunteer limits
- Supervision: Students will be supervised by trained adult leaders and assigned age-appropriate tasks
- Orientation: All student volunteers must attend a brief orientation and training session before serving
