At Victory City AZ, prayer isn’t a side ministry—it’s the foundation. The Intercessory Prayer Team carries the mantle of spiritual warfare, prophetic intercession, and atmosphere-shifting authority. This team doesn’t just pray for services—they prepare the way for miracles, deliverance, and divine encounters.
As an intercessor, you’ll partner with heaven to cover the church, its leaders, and every soul that walks through our doors. You’ll release breakthrough, guard the gates, and cultivate a culture of prayer that fuels revival.
Responsibilities
What You’ll Do:
- Arrive to service 30 mins. early to begin prayer and intercession for each service and/or event
- Stand at the altar during services and events to serve the specific prayer needs of individuals and families
- Engage in pre-service intercession to prepare the spiritual atmosphere
- Cover pastors, worship leaders, volunteers, and attendees in targeted prayer
- Intercede during services for altar ministry, deliverance, and prophetic flow
- Participate in weekly prayer calls, gatherings, and special assignments
- Discern spiritual activity and respond with biblical authority and wisdom
- Collaborate with leadership to align prayer focus with church vision and needs
- Maintain confidentiality, humility, and spiritual maturity
- Reflect the boldness, purity, and prophetic culture of Victory City AZ
Qualifications
To thrive in this role that demonstrates:
- A strong personal prayer life and biblical understanding of intercession
- Sensitivity to the Holy Spirit and ability to discern spiritual atmospheres
- Emotional maturity, humility, and spiritual integrity
- Ability to pray aloud with authority and compassion
- Willingness to fast, study, and grow in spiritual disciplines
- Alignment with Victory City AZ’s mission, values, and prophetic culture
- Experience in prayer ministry, deliverance, or prophetic intercession (preferred but not required)
Additional Requirements:
- Must be a Certified Minister (AG) or 6 months into the certification program.
- Must be an existing member of Victory City AZ or become a new member
- Must be available for Sunday services, weeknight services, prayer gatherings, and events (arriving 30 mins early to pray for services)
- Must commit to ongoing spiritual development and team unity
