Victory City AZ is a church where everyone belongs—and every heart deserves to encounter the presence of God without barriers. As a Sign Language Interpreter, you’ll play a vital role in making worship, preaching, and community moments accessible to our Deaf and hard-of-hearing family.

This isn’t just translation—it’s ministry. You’ll carry the message of hope, healing, and truth through expressive interpretation that reflects both the Spirit and the heart of Victory City AZ.

Responsibilities

What You’ll Do:

  • Provide live ASL interpretation during Sunday services, special events, and ministry gatherings
  • Collaborate with pastors, worship leaders, and media team to prepare for weekly services
  • Interpret worship lyrics, sermons, announcements, and altar ministry with clarity and emotion
  • Ensure visibility and positioning that supports full engagement for Deaf attendees
  • Participate in team huddles, prayer, and spiritual development
  • Model humility, excellence, and a heart for inclusive ministry
  • Uphold the spiritual and cultural standards of Victory City AZ
Qualifications

To thrive in this role, candidates should demonstrate:

  • Ability to sign with speed and accuracy
  • Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) with experience in live interpretation
  • Ability to interpret worship, preaching, and spontaneous ministry moments
  • Strong understanding of Deaf culture and accessibility best practices
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Sensitivity to the Holy Spirit and ability to reflect spiritual tone and emotion
  • Commitment to excellence, punctuality, and preparation
  • Alignment with Victory City AZ’s mission, values, and worship culture

Additional Requirements:

  • Certified, Licensed, or Degree
  • Must be an existing member of Victory City AZ or become a new member
  • Must be available for Sunday services and occasional special events
  • Must commit to ongoing skill development and spiritual growth
